Ty Allen's Bedroom...

Posted by Picasa

Ty Allen loves to go fishing and hunting with his daddy so we did his room in a cabin/lodge theme! We used fishing lures, fake mounted animals on the walls and a bear skin! We also had his bathroom furniture made from a designer at Canton who used old doors! Now, if we can just get him in his own bed every night before the new baby gets here!

Pumpkin & Cream Cheese Muffins...

8 ounce(s) cream cheese
3 eggs
2 1/2 cup(s) sugar
2 1/2 cup(s) flour
1/4 cup(s) pecans, roughly chopped
3 tablespoon(s) butter, melted
2 1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1 1/4 cup(s) solid-packed pumpkin
1/3 cup(s) vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly coat two 12-cup standard muffin tins with oil and set aside.
Mix the cream cheese, 1 egg, and 3 tablespoons sugar in a small bowl and set aside. Toss 5 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 cup flour, pecans, butter, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon together in a medium bowl and set aside. Combine the remaining sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and remaining cinnamon in a large bowl. Lightly beat the remaining eggs, pumpkin, oil, and vanilla together in a medium bowl. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, pour the pumpkin mixture into the well, and mix with a fork just until moistened. Evenly divide half of the batter among the muffin cups. Place two teaspoonfuls of cream cheese filling in the center of each cup and fill with the remaining batter. Sprinkle some of the pecan mixture over the top of each muffin and bake until golden and a tester, inserted into the muffin center, comes out clean -- 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

A collage of our home and a little Inspiration...

My MIL came over on this morning to plant my bday present. She planted 3 Limelight Hydrangeas and I am so excited because her flowers are always just Amazingly Beautiful! (click here to see her hydrangeas) I tried to help but at 34 weeks PG, there is only so much bending over you can do but don't worry my little man, Ty Allen pulled out his shovel and helped her dig! As she arrived, she brought her camera and took a few pics around the house (she is a great photographer) which inspired me to do a collage of Things I love. Although alot of these pics are from around our home, some are also just a few I have in my Inspiration file...Enjoy!
By the way, she really got some great shots of Ty Allen's room which is a cabin theme so I will posting it soon....

Old Green Chippy Paint with Elegant Frames...

Although we have now been in our home almost 2 years, it took a while for me to decide how I wanted to do a FAMILY COLLAGE OF PICTURES up our stairwell. I have been looking at many inspirational ideas and then found these great chippy old shelves at Canton. The SPARK then hit the minute I found these beautiful frames at Hobby Lobby 50% off. There are a few frames that I left empty for our upcoming baby boy! The great thing about this collage is that I can move the frames as needed as well as change out the pictures as our little ones grow!

The Furniure Factory Cart, my new coffee table...

So much character...the perfect coffee table for my living area. An old, original furniture factory cart. This piece has a variation of colors such as creams, bronze, green and a little red touches! Oh, I just love it and guess what??? Restoration Hardware sells the same piece starting at $895 up to $1495, . Ok, I promise I did not even pay half of that!
